Essential Functions and Basic Duties

The Web Project Specialist is responsible for the management of Web Development projects and the completion of tasks related to Web Development, SEO, WCAG Compliance, and Web Maintenance. Monitoring web trends, then using that research to determine how to adjust internal processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services for our client’s success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Web Services Director and manages own web site development projects through all phases from project kickoff, site design, content implementation, responsive testing to launch in various open-source platforms including (but not limited to) WordPress, Drupal, and Shopify
  • Strategically produces aesthetically functional website themes by creating custom content types, various theme builder templates, and global widgets with an emphasis on ease of content management
  • Coordinate and manage necessary tasks and access with outsourced programmers
  • Successfully research, implement, and configure CMS plugins/modules and web applications on web sites
  • Use modern techniques for HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Works within and maintains modules/plugins for open-source platforms including (but not limited to) WordPress and Drupal
  • Assists in the setup and maintenance of websites hosted on Windows and Linux based servers
  • Assists in completing web service requests and communicate with clients on status of requests
  • Works with the SEO team to maintain and manage SEO/accessibility standards by resolving programming errors, implementing keywords, and maintaining knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Create and/or coordinate the creation of new SEO content, blog posts, etc.
  • Assists with maintaining WCAG Accessibility Standards on applicable websites coordinating with programmer(s) when necessary
  • Works within a team environment to address the creative, programming and development needs of projects
  • Works on a variety of projects including web site development, web-based applications, desktop/mobile applications, SEO, accessibility/compliance
  • Works with the Digital Marketing team to manage pixel/tracking code placement for campaign analytics and reporting
  • Conceptualize, produce, and optimize web related graphic elements including sliders and social media graphics
  • Initiate, plan, execute and control projects to meet requirements and schedules.
  • Introduce preventive measures when resolving production problems.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and commitment to the organization.
  • Act as team player/self-starter with the ability to analyze tasks, work independently and to drive projects to completion.

Including above referenced activities, additional assigned tasks may be assigned per Kinetix Management Team.

The position requires a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. Work involves the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Working from a brief with an Account Executive, generating ideas to present to the client
  • Conceptualize visuals for print and digital environments based on requirements (concept, revisions, to delivery)
  • Contribute to strategic decisions, working with design and teams
  • Working knowledge of graphic usage across various media (digital, print, traditional)
  • Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software provided
  • Managing and organizing the task/job infrastructure (Ex. Wrike)
  • Successfully implement content and design based on use and output
    Ability to work within open-source platforms including WordPress, Drupal, and Squarespace
  • Executing through high-level graphic design, lead design projects through research, concept, and completion using internal and external resources to fit brand guidelines
  • Work under the supervision of an Art Director and/or Creative Director
    Keep informed on the latest trends and technologies to be used for quality-of-life improvements and/or sales opportunities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Act as a team player/self-starter with the ability to analyze tasks, work independently, and drive projects to completion

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • PHP, SQL, Jquery, Twig, Strong knowledge of BASH scripting and Linux Command Line interface
  • Additional knowledge of HTML, CSS (Flexbox and Grid) and Javascript
  • Able to build and maintain modules/plugin features for Open Source platforms such as WordPress and Drupal
  • Assist clients with website related requests including content and technical troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform website migrations between servers and between website platforms
  • Performs security updates on Drupal and WordPress and Linux Servers
  • Domain and SSL setup and configuration through LetsEncrypt
  • Assist Digital department with web related needs (ex: tracking codes, pixels, etc…)
