Marketing and Sales Assistant

Position Summary

This position provides high-level support for the company and executing internal marketing projects. This role is vital to the marketing and sales team, as well as to client relationships and administrative tasks.


Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Marketing Support
    • Assist in the coordination and execution of internal marketing projects, such as campaigns, events, and promotions, by tracking timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
      • Oversight of conference participation (research, scheduling, sponsorship, staff, and supplies)
      • Oversight of Kinetix branded events and company functions
      • Provide support for employee meetings
      • Provide support as needed for client events
    • Assist with preparing and distributing marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations
      • Actively communicate with existing, new, and potential customers based on goals and expectations set by the company
    • Manage inventory of promotional products, merchandise, and supplies for internal and external marketing, including ordering materials and maintaining stock levels
    • Provide administrative support to the marketing and sales team, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
    • Answer phones and respond to emails to customers on behalf of the Marketing Department
  • Sales Support
    • Assist the entire sales team with pre-sales research, audits, and information gathering
    • Preparing quotes and proposals for the Marketing team
    • Assist with new client and new project onboarding for the Marketing team
    • Oversight of all new client welcome process
    • Client relationship oversight
      • Holiday gifts
      • Lunch & Learns
      • Communication (utilizing approved marketing plan)
    • Documentation
      • Maintain sales documents, records, customer database, and sales orders using the provided software tools
      • Oversight of customer agreements from creation to signature to internal tracking and storage
      • Maintain Marketing and global company CRM
      • Maintain Marketing Sales concerning commission, goals, and other reporting as requested
    • Handle daily clerical duties and office operation requests with minimal oversight
    • Assist Admin with general requests
    • Including the above-referenced activities, additional assigned tasks by management

Qualifications / Required Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a sales or marketing environment
  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing principles, terminology, and tactics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software is a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator (internal and external)

Company Requirements

  • Valid Louisiana driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Proof of US Citizenship
  • No felony arrests
  • Dress and appearance should be business casual and grooming according to Kinetix Handbook and position

  • Salary and benefit offerings
  • Confidential, important, and/or proprietary technical information concerning the Company’s products and activities
  • Business plan and plan of operations
  • All customer information, including but not limited to the following: customer lists, proposals, invoices, financial statements, non-published price lists, trade secrets, and business models.
